Using Maca Powder in Recipes

A potent adaptogen, maca is one of nature's most powerful superfoods. In recipes, a little bit goes a long way: start with a teaspoon per serving and increase as desired.

Chef’s Notes:

  • Maca has been traditionally used in baked foodstuffs for centuries; try adding a few spoonfuls to any favorite recipe.
  • Add 1-2 Tbsp of maca to smoothies; maca pairs especially well with other superfoods.
  • Cacao is a perfect pairing with maca.
  • When creating new maca recipes, try using 2 parts fat (like cacao or nut butter), 2 parts sweetener (like agave nectar or yacon syrup), and 1 part maca.
