Using Nori in Recipes

With celebrated culinary use reported back to the 8th century, Nori continues to reign as Japan’s most popular sea vegetable – famously known for its role as a sushi wrapper. Grown in the certified Sea of Japan, Navitas Naturals Nori contains almost 50% protein.

Chef's Notes:

  • Nori has a natural and unquie seaweed meat like salty flavor.
  • Nori Sheets make a great raw cracker base with a veggie or nut spread dehydrated on top.
  • Try using the sheets in raw sushi with a large peice dry letuce between the wet ingredients and the wrapper so that it does not become soaked with water.
  • Ripped up into 1 inch peices in salads you'll find nori is an excellent flavor and texture.
  • The sheets can be sliced into thin strips and mixed with savory flavors for a japansee style rice topping.
